: Balochistan has recorded significant progress in childhood immunization, with vaccination coverage reaching 56.6%, according to the TPVICS Round 3 independent survey conducted by Aga Khan University.

The latest figures show a 19% improvement in immunization coverage compared with the previous assessment, reflecting continued efforts to expand vaccination services across the province.

According to the Balochistan Health Department, the improvement is the result of sustained efforts by the department and the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), along with improved monitoring and service delivery.

Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar praised the performance of the Health Department and EPI teams, saying that protecting children from vaccine-preventable diseases remains a key priority of the provincial government.

He said the government is utilizing all available resources to improve access to basic healthcare services and ensure a healthier future for children across Balochistan.

Kakar said the rise in immunization coverage reflects the government’s commitment to building a healthier and stronger new generation. He also attributed the progress to the leadership of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, improved health governance, effective monitoring and additional resources for the health sector.

The provincial health minister reaffirmed that efforts would be further accelerated to expand routine immunization, reach children in remote areas and protect communities from preventable diseases.
