Web Desk: Two coal miners were killed and four others were rendered unconscious after toxic gas accumulated inside a coal mine in Dukki district, Balochistan, rescue officials said.

The incident occurred at a coal mine in the Thandk area of Dukki, where poisonous gas reportedly filled the mine, affecting six workers.

The deceased miners were identified as Mohabbatullah and Rumi Muhammad. Four other workers lost consciousness and were immediately shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Dukki for medical treatment.

The bodies of the two deceased miners were handed over to their families after completion of the necessary legal formalities.

The incident has once again highlighted safety concerns in Balochistan’s coal mines, where workers face risks from toxic gases and other mining hazards.
