​QUETTA — A wave of grief and fear has swept through a local Quetta neighborhood following the tragic discovery of six-year-old Ali Shah, whose body was found inside a sack outside his family home on Thursday morning.
​Ali Shah had been missing since August 20. Local police arrived at the scene shortly after the discovery and transferred the child’s body to a nearby hospital for required legal and post-mortem procedures. Authorities have officially launched a homicide investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
​The horrifying discovery has sparked widespread outrage and concern among residents, prompting an immediate government response.
​Balochistan’s Interior Minister took official notice of the incident, directing relevant law enforcement agencies to submit a comprehensive report without delay. Ordering swift action, the minister instructed police to uncover the motives behind the murder and bring every individual involved to justice immediately.
​Police urge anyone with relevant information or suspicious activity reported in the area between August 20 and August 22 to step forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
