DUKKI— Three brothers were killed and another person was critically injured on Sunday when a roadside Improvised Explosive Device (IED) targeted a vehicle in the Dukki district of Balochistan.
​According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dukki, Mansoor Ahmed Buzdar, the victims were traveling in a car toward their farm for daily agricultural work. The explosion occurred as the vehicle was crossing a seasonal riverbed near Killi Bakhtiyar Khan in the Loni sub-division.
​The blast destroyed the vehicle, killing three brothers on the spot. Authorities identified the deceased as Rahmatullah, Durrani, and Niamatullah—all sons of Sultan. The injured passenger was identified as Attiqullah, son of Maulvi Naik Muhammad.
​Emergency services and security personnel rushed to the scene shortly after the explosion, shifting the bodies and the wounded individual to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
​Security forces have cordoned off the entire area and launched a comprehensive search operation to track down the perpetrators. Police officials confirmed that initial investigations point to a targeted IED blast, though forensic experts are continuing to gather evidence from the site to determine the precise nature of the device.
​No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Security has been tightened across the district as investigations continue.
