PISHIN: Seven personnel from customs and security agencies were killed and seven others injured when armed men launched a sudden assault on a customs warehouse and joint checkpost at the Ziarat Cross junction in Balochistan’s Pishin district.
​According to local police officials, the attackers opened heavy fire before setting fire to several vehicles parked within the warehouse premises, causing widespread panic in the area. Emergency responders and security forces swiftly deployed to the scene, cordoning off the area and initiating rescue operations. Firefighting teams managed to bring the blaze fully under control shortly after.
​The dead and injured were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, where medical staff reported that several of the wounded remain in critical condition.
​Security forces have surrounded the entire district and launched a comprehensive search and clearance operation to track down the fleeing attackers. No group has officially claimed responsibility for the assault.
