QUETTA : The Balochistan Home Department has dismissed 100 government employees from service over their alleged involvement in promoting an anti-state narrative, officials said.
Assistant to the Balochistan Home Department Babar Yousafzai said the dismissed employees had allegedly been promoting a narrative against Pakistan and the state.
He said the employees had violated the oath they took as government servants, leading to departmental action against them.
“Compromise is not possible on narratives against the state,” Yousafzai said, adding that action would be taken against government employees who allegedly continued to speak against Pakistan despite receiving government salaries and benefits.
According to the Balochistan Home Department, 95 university teachers are among the 100 government employees dismissed from service.
Yousafzai further said that cases against two additional university teachers were still pending.
Meanwhile, the Home Department said five more government employees, including three employees of the Health Department, had also been dismissed over allegations of promoting an anti-state narrative.
The provincial government maintained that government employees are bound by their official oath and responsibilities and that departmental and legal action would be taken against those found involved in activities deemed contrary to the state.
