Web Desk: Six terrorists were killed and five others arrested during intelligence-based joint operations by Balochistan Police, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and other law enforcement agencies in Pishin and Qilla Abdullah districts, police said on Monday.
According to a Balochistan Police statement, the operations were conducted in Killi Sultan, Azhram, Dinar and Gilo areas of Pishin, along with other identified locations.
The police said the six killed terrorists belonged to Fitna al-Hindustan, while five others were apprehended during the operations.
A significant quantity of weapons and other material was also recovered from the arrested suspects, according to the statement.
Police said further investigation was underway to gather information about the terrorists’ networks, facilitators and planned activities.
The operations were led by the DIG Zhob Range, Commander CTD and SSP Pishin, with police and other law enforcement personnel working in coordination.
Balochistan Inspector General of Police praised the officers and personnel involved in the operations for their professionalism, courage and coordination.
The IGP said intelligence-based operations against terrorist networks, facilitators and their support structures would continue across the province.
He reaffirmed the law enforcement agencies’ commitment to eliminating terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij and protecting the lives, property, peace and security of the people of Balochistan.
