Islamabad : The MDCAT 2026 answer key and result are now among the main concerns for thousands of medical and dental college aspirants across Pakistan after the Medical and Dental College Admission Test was conducted today.

According to a statement attributed to University of Health Sciences (UHS) authorities, the MDCAT 2026 answer key is expected to be released today after 6:00 pm. Once the official key is available, candidates will be able to compare their answers with their carbon copies/response sheets and calculate their expected scores.

The official MDCAT 2026 result is expected within one week of the examination. If the seven-day timeline is followed, candidates could receive their official results by Friday, September 25, 2026. However, the exact result date will only be confirmed through the relevant examination authorities.

MDCAT 2026 Answer Key: What Candidates Can Expect

The answer key will allow candidates to independently check their attempted answers and estimate their marks before the official result is announced. Candidates should use only the official answer key issued by the relevant authority for calculating their expected score.

The answer key is also important because unofficial keys circulating on social media may contain errors or differences between paper codes. Candidates should therefore wait for the official key before making a final assessment of their performance.

MDCAT Result Timeline: What Happened in Previous Years?

The recent MDCAT examination cycle indicates that authorities have generally attempted to announce results within a relatively short period after the test.

In 2023, UHS examination guidelines stated that the MDCAT result would be declared within seven days of the examination.

In 2024, the MDCAT was held in September, with the UHS result announced within approximately one week of the examination.

In 2025, UHS conducted the MDCAT in October and announced the result only a few days later. UHS guidelines again provided a timeline of up to seven days for declaration of the result.

For MDCAT 2026, the examination was conducted on September 20, making the coming week particularly important for candidates awaiting their official scores.

When Will MDCAT 2026 Result Be Announced?

Based on the timeline communicated by UHS authorities and the examination guidelines followed in previous years, the MDCAT 2026 official result is expected within one week of the examination.

If the seven-day timeline is maintained, the result could be announced by September 25, 2026. This should be treated as an expected timeline rather than a confirmed result date until an official notification is issued.

Candidates are advised to monitor the official websites and notifications of the relevant MDCAT authorities for confirmation.

What Candidates Should Do Now

Candidates should keep their carbon copy/response sheet safely and wait for the official answer key. After the key is released, they can calculate their expected marks and compare their performance with the applicable admission criteria.

The next major update will be the official MDCAT 2026 result, followed by the admission process for medical and dental colleges.
