QUETTA: Balochistan Education Minister Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani has praised the Science and Arts Exhibition organised at Government Girls Degree College, Quarry Road, Quetta, saying such activities help develop students’ creativity, scientific thinking, research skills and confidence.
The education minister visited the college on Monday and reviewed various scientific models, experimental projects and creative displays prepared by students.
Director Colleges Professor Muhammad Hussain Bakhsh Baloch, Joint Director Colleges Saeeda Niaz and Education Specialist Saadia Farooqi were also present during the visit. College Principal Professor Farukh Bashir and faculty members welcomed the provincial minister.
Minister Reviews Student’s Projects
During her visit to the exhibition, Raheela Durrani inspected the projects presented by students and appreciated their efforts, creativity and practical approach to learning.
Addressing participants, she said female students in Balochistan possess considerable talent and should be provided with quality educational opportunities and a supportive environment to showcase their abilities.
She said science and arts activities could help students meet modern educational requirements while encouraging research, innovation, creativity and practical experimentation.
The minister said the scientific models and experimental projects displayed at the exhibition reflected the students’ hard work, capabilities and creative potential.
Focus on Quality Education for Girls
Raheela Durrani said the Balochistan Education Department would continue efforts to improve the quality of education, provide better learning opportunities for female students and promote positive and constructive activities in educational institutions.
She congratulated the college administration, teachers and students for organising the exhibition.
College Promotes Extracurricular Activities
Principal Professor Farukh Bashir said the college regularly organises educational and extracurricular activities to promote the academic, scientific and creative abilities of its students.
She said the exhibition aimed to provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents and encourage them to take part in research, experimentation and practical learning.
The exhibition highlighted the creative and scientific abilities of female students and provided them with a platform to present their projects and ideas.
