QUETTA: A total of 1,400 newly approved medical and dental seats have been distributed among different provinces and federal quota categories, with Balochistan allocated 50 additional MBBS seats.
According to the seat distribution, Punjab has been allocated 475 MBBS seats, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has received 150 MBBS seats. Balochistan has been allocated 50 MBBS seats, while no seats have been listed for Sindh under the announced distribution.
A total of 725 seats have been placed under the federal allocation, covering Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and other federal quota categories.
Federal Seats Breakdown
The federal allocation of 725 seats has been divided into three major categories:
– 325 seats under HEC’s previous FATA and Balochistan scholarship arrangements
– 250 seats for Federal Medical College (FMC), Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Medical and Dental College (SKZMDC), and federal dentistry
– 150 seats under federal quotas allocated in other provinces
The distribution covers both MBBS and BDS opportunities and is expected to be relevant for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges under provincial and federal quotas.
