QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court has directed the Education Department to submit a comprehensive report regarding unauthorized occupants allegedly using the premises of district education offices and educational institutions across the province in the name of unions and associations.
A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Malakhail and Justice Najmuddin Mengal heard a contempt petition filed by Imran Al-Hussaini against the Secretary Education (Schools), Balochistan, and others.
During the hearing, Additional Advocate General Balochistan Zahoor Ahmed Baloch informed the court that all unauthorized occupants allegedly present in the Directorate of Education (Schools), Quetta, in the name of unions and associations had been removed. He stated that no unauthorized person was currently occupying the premises.
The petitioner’s counsel, however, disputed the government’s position and requested the court to seek photographic evidence along with the report.
The court subsequently directed both sides to submit reports of a similar nature.
The bench also directed the Director Schools Education Balochistan, under the direct supervision of the Secretary Education (Schools), to prepare a comprehensive report regarding unauthorized occupants allegedly present in all district education offices and educational institutions across Balochistan in the name of unions and associations.
The court further directed that if officials face any unnecessary or unjustified resistance while implementing the court’s orders, they should approach the concerned Deputy Commissioner, who would be responsible for providing the necessary assistance to ensure compliance.
The court also directed that a copy of the order be sent to the office of the Additional Advocate General for information and compliance.
The next hearing of the case has been scheduled for November 3, 2026.
