From Our Correspondent:

ZHOB — Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Chairman of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), has declared that formal talks between the government and the opposition cannot produce meaningful results unless opposition representatives are permitted to consult directly with jailed Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Addressing a public rally at Baz Muhammad Shaheed Ground in Zhob on Wednesday, Achakzai emphasized that constructive negotiation requires equal consultative access for all political blocks.
”If government representatives are permitted to consult their senior leadership and key stakeholders, the opposition maintains the same fundamental right to meet with Imran Khan,” Achakzai told the crowd. He reaffirmed that he will not participate in any official dialogue process until a meeting with the former prime minister takes place.
Warning Against Administrative Measures in KP
Achakzai cautioned against any attempts to enforce Governor’s Rule or declare an emergency state in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, warning that such measures would carry serious political consequences. He stated that if administrative overreach occurs, the opposition is prepared to call for nationwide public resistance across every district.
He also reiterated his commitment to honoring the electoral mandate granted to the opposition, calling on all political entities to work toward a unified national consensus to navigate the country through its current political and economic uncertainty.
