News Desk: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to merit-based recruitment, employment opportunities for youth, and improved healthcare and education services during a visit to his native area of Dera Bugti district.

The chief minister held a public gathering lasting more than six hours, meeting tribal elders and local residents to hear their concerns. He also settled several tribal disputes in his capacity as Chief of the Bugti tribe.

Addressing tribal elders, Bugti said amicable settlements through the tribal system were part of Balochistan’s traditional values and could help end longstanding rivalries and enmities.

He said people from Baloch and Pashtun communities across the province were standing alongside security forces in the fight against terrorists. He paid tribute to the sacrifices made by security personnel and said their contributions to maintaining peace could not be forgotten.

Bugti added that patriotic citizens of Balochistan were determined to stand with the state and defeat what he described as Fitna al-Hindustan.

Highlighting his government’s performance, the chief minister said unprecedented development work in previously neglected areas was an important milestone in Balochistan’s history.

He said thousands of young people had been recruited into various government departments over the past two years, adding that the provincial government was taking practical steps to ensure merit-based recruitment rather than merely announcing the policy.

Bugti said efforts were underway to create employment opportunities for young people across the province.

He further said his government had prioritised the health and education sectors over the past two and a half years, adding that the results of these initiatives had received recognition at the national level.
