NORTH DERA BUGTI: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has approved all divisional posts for Koh-e-Sulaiman Division, announcing that officers and staff will be appointed to the approved positions soon.

Addressing a press conference in North Dera Bugti on Friday, the chief minister said the establishment of smaller administrative units, including divisions and districts, was essential to bringing government institutions closer to the people and improving access to public services.

Bugti said Balochistan needed an administrative structure suited to its unique geographical and social conditions, adding that smaller administrative units would make it easier for citizens to access government departments and resolve their problems.

“While the debate on establishing smaller administrative units in the country has started recently, I initiated this process two years ago,” he said.

Rakhni to Be Developed as a Model Division

The chief minister said the provincial government was taking steps to transform Rakhni into a model division and accelerate development in the area.

He observed that the decision to grant divisional status to Rakhni should have been taken much earlier, adding that the development process had already begun.

Bugti said strict instructions had been issued to keep development projects free from corruption, commission practices and the influence of vested interests.

He added that the Communications and Works Department was directly executing development projects in Rakhni to ensure transparency and accountability.

The chief minister reiterated that the government would make every effort to improve infrastructure, strengthen public services and establish Rakhni as an exemplary administrative division.

CM Praises Security Forces for Foiling Gwadar Attack

Commenting on the security situation, Bugti praised security forces for their timely action in foiling an attack by Fitna al-Khawarij on a construction company’s building in Gwadar.

He said the sacrifices and professional performance of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) and police in the fight against terrorism across Balochistan were commendable.

The chief minister also described the decline in the trend of terrorist incidents in Balochistan since August as a positive development.

He paid tribute to security personnel for their courage and continued operations against terrorism, emphasizing their role in maintaining peace and stability in the province.

Bugti said the provincial government remained committed to administrative reforms, transparent development and bringing public institutions closer to citizens throughout Balochistan.
