CM takes notice of contaminated water report published in Quetta Voice

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has taken notice of a report published by Quetta Voice about contaminated water in the city. The CM has directed the Secretary of Health, Secretary Irrigation, and Secretary Public Health Engineering (PHE) to do an immediate meeting to discuss the issue.
This daily had published an article by Abdul Razzaq Khilji, a well-known water expert with regard to contaminated water in Quetta city the other day. In the report, Mr. Khilji mentioned that groundwater contamination is approximately constantly the consequence of human activities. Accordingly, the (Coliforms and E. Coli) are those bacteria that originate from wastes and intestines of animals and signal contamination in drinking water during testing.
Irrigation Department indicates a high rate of Coliform and E.Coli
A recent report of the Irrigation Department indicates that the high rate of Coliform and E. Coli bacteria was found in the water of Quetta which signals contaminations in the drinking water that may affect human health and cause severe illness, as such gastrointestinal, vomiting, cramps, diarrhea, muscle aches, and headache. However, anyone can get sick from drinking contaminated water but children, the elderly, and people with weak immune systems are at a higher risk of the harmful effects.
