Chaman: High-level officials visit Pak Afghan border

A high-level official delegation visited the Pak-Afghan border Chaman to review security arrangements on Friday. Chief Secretary Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Arshad Majeed, Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Tahir Rai, and other officials visited the border.

The Frontier Corps (FC) officials briefed the CS about the security arrangements at the border. The visit has come a day after the Taliban take over bordering areas including the friendship gate, Waish Mandi and Spin Boldak.

Timely payment of compensation to people of divided villages ordered 

The CS Balochistan ordered the concerned quarters to ensure timely payment of compensation to the people living in the divided villages at the border. Speaking on the occasion, Mathar Niaz Rana expressed satisfaction over better coordination between all law enforcement agencies.

“None would be allowed to violate the law”, the CS mentioned. The Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Jumadad Mandokhail briefed the CS and other officials about the development projects underway in the bordering district.

Fierce clashes between Afghan forces and the Taliban were reported on Friday. Both sides have suffered casualties. Reports suggest the Taliban still maintained control of Spin Boldak.
