Over 4,000 male and female teachers from Balochistan got enrolled in an online teacher training program to improve their information technology skills and the quality of education.
The Online teachers training program has been launched by American board teaching certification to improve the capacity of teachers to meet modern challenges in the wake of the global technology revolution.
Secretary education Balochistan, Ghulam Ali Baloch told Quetta Voice that 2565 male and 1460 female teachers had so far applied for the program. These teachers belong to Quetta and almost all districts of Balochistan, Mr. Baloch said.
Earlier, the American board was charging 2,000 US $ per month, however, the board has announced it free of cost for the teachers of Balochistan.
The major objective of this program is to pave the way for teachers to be eligible for teaching in Europe, Middle East and America. “This will open new vistas of opportunities for our teachers”, the Secretary education mentioned.
The secretary has urged upon all energetic and education loving teaches to coordinate with Real-Time School Monitoring (RTSM) and other concerned staff to process their registration and get enrolled to acquire modern international education.
