QUETTA: Central leader of the Balochistan National Party (Mengal) and the Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) on Sunday said prevailing political uncertainty and crisis have exposed fancy development in the province. “The current crisis in Balochistan has unveiled fancy development and governance facade eulogized by the provincial and federal elite”, Mr. Baloch told Quetta Voice.
“Rulers are least bothered about the plight of people”, he said. He said the people of Balochistan were facing a host of issues and rulers were engaged in their infighting.
When asked about the opposition’s no-confidence motion, he said the opposition parties had determined to table the no-confidence motion in the Balochistan Assembly session.
Serious differences erupted within the BAP
Serious differences erupted within the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) after the joint opposition submitted a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan on September 16.
“People of Balochistan demand political and constitutional powers”, he said. Sanaullah Baloch called for taking effective steps to promote rural parts of Balochistan to bring the province at par with other developed parts of the country.
“Mere slogans and fancy development don’t offer any solution”, he said. The BNP lawmaker stated that rulers should go beyond lip service and take practical steps to address issues relating to Balochistan.
