Govt uses armored vehicles against opposition lawmakers: Akhtar Mengal
From Our Correspondent :
HUB: Chief of Balochistan National Party (Mengal), Sardar Akhtar Mengal on Monday accused the present provincial government of using armored vehicles against the opposition lawmakers.
Talking to reporters, Akhtar Mengal stated that the present government has totally ignored the opposition constituencies and provided funds to non-elected people. Three opposition lawmakers sustained injuries when an armored vehicle hit the gate of the Balochistan Assembly on June 18 this year.
When asked about prevailing tension within the ruling party, he said, “we will also give a push if required”. The BNP Chief’s statement has come at a time when serious differences within the ruling party have dominated the political scene in Balochistan.
“This is all because of the acts of the present government”, Sardar Mengal said when asked about differences in the ruling party.
Yet to another question, the BNP Chief stated that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was set to give a tough time to the present government. He said the anti-government movement held a series of public meetings against the present government across the country.
