KOHLU: Three children died when the roof of a mud-walled house collapsed in Balochistan’s Barkhan district on Sunday evening. Heaving rainfall caused the collapse of a mud-walled house in Barkhan area, Abdul Rasheed, a police inspector told Quetta Voice.

Rescue operation was launched after the collapse of the house and the dead bodies were retrieved from the debris of the house by rescue workers. Rasheed informed that one person was injured as a result of the collapse and shifted to district headquarters hospital in Barkhan.

Continue rainfall has caused damages to mud-walled houses in northern Balochistan for last one week. This incident has come days after five people died in a similar incident in Balochistan’s Dukki district. So far, the Balochistan government has not announced any compensation for the victims’ families.
