One person killed in Hub bomb explosion

HUB: One person was killed in a bomb explosion in Balochistan’s industrial city of Hub on Monday evening. The victim was identified as Mir Akram Sajidi, a resident of Awaran, police sources said.

Unknown miscreants had planted a bomb at the vehicle of Akram Sajidi. The bomb went off with big bang. Sajidi was seriously injured in the blast. He however succumbed to injuries on way to late Jam Mir Ghulam Qadir Khan hospital, police said.

Police and other law enforcement agencies personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. This incident has come days after Shahid Zehri, a local journalist was also killed in a similar blast. The blast also damaged the vehicle of Akram Sajidi.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the terrorist attack. In a statement issued after the blast, Mr. Bizenjo said the perpetrators of the blast would be brought to justice. He said Akram Sajidi was a famous businessman and political personality from Awaran. He directed the administration to submit a report in this regard.
