BBISE numbers scandal: High Court issues notices to secretary education

QUETTA: Balochistan High Court (BHC) has issued notices to the secretary of higher education and other concerned authorities in the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) numbers scandal. 

A division bench of the BHC comprising Chief Justice Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch issued notices on a petition filed by Naseebullah Achakzai Advocate on Thursday. Senior lawyers Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar and Jamil Babai Advocate represented the petition in the court.

The bench directed the secretary of higher education and other concerned authorities to appear before the court in this regard on December 23rd.

Chairman of the inquiry committee Bashir Bangulzai removed

This daily had reported massive fraud in granting numbers to blue-eyed students in the metric and FA, FSc examinations held in the province. The former secretary of higher education, Bashir Ahmed Bangulzai had formed an inquiry committee to probe into the massive fraud. However, Mr. Bangulzai, the Chairman of the Committee was removed from his post after two raids at the BBISE.

Although, the Balochistan Education Minister, Naseebullah Marri had assured taking stern action against the elements within the BBISE involved in granting maximum numbers to blue-eyed and influential students in the province.
