Web Desk: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the appointment of three Additional Judges to the Balochistan High Court (BHC) for a one-year term, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice on Tuesday.
The notification, dated August 11, 2026, said the appointments were made under Article 197 read with Clause (8) of Article 175A of the Constitution of Pakistan.
The three newly appointed Balochistan High Court Additional Judges are:
- Muhammad Rauf Atta, Advocate Supreme Court
- Allah Dad Roshan, District & Sessions Judge
- Abdul Qayyum Lehri, District & Sessions Judge
Their one-year tenure will begin from the date they take oath of office, the notification stated.
The Ministry of Law and Justice has circulated copies of the appointment notification to the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, Supreme Court of Pakistan, Federal Constitutional Court, Registrar of the Balochistan High Court, and other relevant authorities.
The appointments are expected to strengthen the judicial capacity of the Balochistan High Court and add to its bench strength.
