BHC cancels transfer order of Secretary Higher Education Balochistan

Syed Ali Shah :

QUETTA: Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Friday ordered the cancellation of the transfer order of the Secretary Higher Education, Bashir Ahmed Bangulzai. The Government of Balochistan had transferred the Secretary in the aftermath of the report of massive fraud in the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE). Without any reason, the government transferred Mr. Bangulzai, the head of the inquiry committee to probe into the gross violation of merit just after months.

A division bench of the BHC comprising Chief Justice Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Mr.  Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch passed this order on an application filed by Munir Ahmed Kakar, a senior lawyer challenging the transfer order of the Secretary Higher Education.

Mr. Bangulzai was heading the inquiry committee

Mr. Bungulzai was leading the inquiry committee investigating the massive fraud in granting numbers to the blue-eyed students in the BBISE in FA, FSs, and metric results recently. The inquiry committee had conducted two raids at the BBISE and collected undeniable evidence.

Mr. Kakar Advocate pleaded before the court that the government had transferred the minister to what he asserted to influence the ongoing investigation into the BBISE scandal. The court directed the government to cancel the transfer order. The government had posed Syed Sikandar Shah as the Secretary of Higher Education Balochistan replacing Mr. Bangulzai.

Bangulzai directed to report as the Secretary of Higher Education Balochistan

The bench directed Mr. Bangulzai to immediately report as the Secretary of Higher Education Balochistan and concluded the inquiry at the earliest. The court restrained the Balochistan government from transferring the Secretary.

Mr. Naseebullah Achakzai, the petitioner had pleaded that the career of the students of Balochistan was at stake because of the BBISE’s performance and corrupt practices.
