Blast rocks Quetta, 4 killed, 15 injured outside Science College

A powerful blast has killed 4 people and injured another 15 outside the main gate of Government Science College on Thursday night. Waseem Baig, the Spokesman civil hospital confirmed that four dead bodies and 15 injured were brought to civil hospital Quetta.
Rescue workers were quick at the spot. The injured were shifted to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Emergency imposed in civil hospital Quetta to provide timely medical treatment to injured of the blast. All doctors and paramedics were called to provide timely health treatment to the injured of the blast. The blast smashed the glasses of nearby shops and offices in the area.
A gathering of a political party was underway inside the college
A political meeting of a religious party was underway when the bomb went off. However, the political leadership was unharmed in the attack. Police said it was premature to say that the party was the target of the blast. “We are interrogating into the attack”, a senior police officer said. He requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.
CM Balochistan condemns the attack
Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the terrorist attack. In a statement issued after the blast, the CM has directed police to submit a report in this regard. The CM also directed the hospital staff to ensure the provision of better medical treatment to the injured of the blast.
Police, frontier corps, and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot. Police also cordoned off the area to probe into the incident. None was allowed to enter the area where the blast happened.
The blast was heard far and wide causing panic in the provincial capital.
Science College Quetta
Government Science College is located in one of the busiest areas of Quetta city. There was a public meeting of the religious parties when the bomb went off. The leaders of the religious party were unharmed in the blast, police said. Most of the political parties hold their gatherings inside the college.
Home Minister visits trauma center
Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove visited the trauma center at civil hospital Quetta and inquired about the health condition of the injured. The Minister strongly condemned the terror act and said that the perpetrators of the blast would be brought to justice.
In April 2021, Quetta’s only luxury hotel was targeted by a suicide bomber. Chinese Ambassador was staying at the hotel when the bomber struck. However, the Ambassador was unharmed in the terrorist attack.
