Blast kills 3 including a police official, injured over two dozen in Quetta:

A blast on Quetta Fatima Jinnah road has killed three people including a police officer on Wednesday evening. Over two dozen people were injured in the blast. Initial police investigation suggests a police mobile was the target of the blast. “The condition of three injured people is serious”, Waseem Baig, the Spokesman Civil Hospital Quetta said. Over two dozen injured were brought to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment, Mr. Baig said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Muhammad Ajmals was also among the martyred, hospital sources said. “Almost 2.5kilogram of explosives were used in the blast”, Syed Fida Hassan Shah, the Inspector General of Police Quetta said. He said, “we are investigating the incident”. A police mobile was on a routine patrolling in the area when the bomb went off, Mr. Shah stated.
Two policemen were among the injured. The injured were rushed to a nearby civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Emergency imposed in the hospital to provide medical treatment to injured of the blast in the civil hospital.
Roaring flames of fire on the spot of the blast
Roaring flames of fire could be witnessed on the site of the blast. Rescue workers and police were quick at the spot. “We have no information about the nature of the blast”, a police official said. Police closed all roads leading towards Fatima Jinnah Road Quetta for traffic.
Firefighters reached the spot to extinguish the flames of fire. Bomb disposal squad also reached the site of the explosion to conduct complete sweeping of the area. Police cordoned off the area to probe into the incident.
CM Bizenjo condemns the attack
Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has strongly condemned the terrorist attack. In a statement issued after the blast, Mr. Bizenjo has directed the Inspector General of Police to file a report about the terror act. He directed the police to arrest the culprits involved in the terrorist act.
Home Minister Balochistan, Ziaullah Langove also condemned the blast and vowed that the perpetrators of the blast would be brought to justice. He directed the police to submit a report about the blast, which rocked the provincial capital. Mr. Langove stated that government would not spare the elements involved in this act of terror.
This explosion has come two days after the armed accused opened fire and martyred two policemen in the Eastern Bypass area of Quetta.
