Component parties of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have submitted a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday. A total of 86 lawmakers from the opposition parties have signed the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

JUI-F’s Shahida Akhtar Ali, PML-N’s Khawaja Saad Rafique, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafique, and PPP’s Naveed Qamar and Shazia Marri submitted the no-trust motion for a session to the NA Secretariat.

Meanwhile, the three bigwig Opposition leaders PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, PML-N’s Shahbaz, and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman addressed a press conference and lashed out at Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“This selected government annoyed China and Saudi Arabia”, Shehbaz Sharif

“This selected government annoyed China and Saudi Arabia”, Shehbaz Sharif, the opposition leader in the National Assembly said. He said the Premier has also annoyed European countries by his speech the other day. He said the government ignored China’s Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and annoyed China.

“We all including Asif Zardari and Maulana are here out to oust Imran Khan”, Shehbaz Sharif. What this government has not done, was not accountability rather revenge, he said.

Hamid Mir was reinstated today

Former President Asif Ali Zardari during the press conference revealed that famous journalist Hamid Mir has been reinstated. He said PPP believes in the independence of journalism. “I am sharing the good news that Hamid Mir has been reinstated”, Mr. Zardari mentioned. Regarding the non-confidence motion, he said the opposition would produce more numbers than the required numbers in the national assembly.

Rulers days numbered now

Chief of PDM, Maulana Fazal ur Rehman said that rulers’ days are numbered and enough is enough. He said for day one the opposition had not accepted the results of the 2018 general elections. Maulana mentioned that opposition parties launched a million march and Awami march to oust the rulers. “No compromise over the national interest”, he clarified.

“We have not taken up arms and stood by the Constitution and Democracy”, Maulana Fazal said. He said they have opposed the US and EU in a democratic and political way.
