QUETTA: Chief Justice Balochistan High Court (BHC), Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan has taken a notice of policemen torturing a five-year-old boy at Pashtoonabad police station. The CJ BHC has ordered the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Quetta, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations to appear before the court in this regard.

The video of two policemen beating, catching the minor boy from his hair and ear went viral on social media networks on Friday evening. This prompted Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo to take notice of the incident.

The two accused policemen identified as Fateh Sher and Nasrullah were arrested on the directives of the CM. “Both the accused have been kept behind the bars in the same police station”, Mohsin Hassan Butt, the Inspector General of Police Balochistan stated. No place for such elements within the department, Mr. Butt said.
