Speed trackers in vehicles on Quetta Karachi highway to be installed soon

Angry protesters blocked the Quetta-Karachi highway near Wadh against the killing of a tribesman on Monday. Armed men had opened fire and killed a tribesman identified as Gul Muhammad, Levies said. The victim was going from his house to the market when armed men targeted him.

The incident provoked the people to stage a protest demonstration and block the Quetta-Karachi highway to vent their anger. Long queues of vehicles on both sides of the road were witnessed.

The angry protesters brought the dead body of the victim on the main highway to mount pressure on the authorities to arrest the killers behind the attack.

Subsequently, the district administration of Khuzdar held successful negotiations with protesters, and the highway was opened for traffic. Passengers suffered as a result of the blockade in the scorching heat.
