Mir Salam Jogezai, Ali Khan Mandokhail:

The Iranian firefighting plane arrived in Balochistan’s Sherani district to extinguish the forest fire on Tuesday morning. “Hopefully, the fire would be put out”, Dostain Khan Jamaldini, Secretary of Forest and Wildlife Balochistan said.

The intensity of fire has reduced in the Sherani forest, Mr. Jamaldini stated. Roaring flames of fire have burnt down ancient pine and olive trees in the Koh e Suleman Range. The Iranian government has provided the aircraft at the request of the federal government.

The aircraft has the capacity to carry 40 tons of water and then drop it on the fire. This Iranian aircraft was already used in extinguishing forest fires in Turkey, Armenia, and Georgia.
