Firing outside session court Quetta leaves 2 dead 7 injured

At least two people were killed and seven were injured in a firing incident outside Quetta’s session court on Thursday afternoon. Abdul Haq Umrani, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) said armed men opened fire on a group of people and left two people dead and seven injured on the spot.

The assailants escaped unhurt from the spot. The injured were rushed to the civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. An emergency was declared in the trauma center Quetta to provide medical treatment to the injured by the firing. “We have received seven injured of the firing incident”, Waseem Baig, the Spokesman civil hospital Quetta said.

Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. Police said tribal elder Sardar Naseem Tareen also suffered injuries. “The incident seems to be a tribal dispute between two groups”, Mr. Umrani mentioned.

SSP operations stated that so far no arrest was made in connection with the killing of two people and the firing incident. Security was tightened in and outside the session court in the aftermath of the firing incident.
