Armed men kidnapped six coal miners in Balochistan’s Mach area on Sunday. Levies sources said armed men entered the Mach mines area and abducted six coal miners. They said the coal miners were shifted to an undisclosed location.

Security forces and levies have launched a search operation for the recovery of the kidnapped coal miners. The coal miners belong to Swat Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa. The miners were extracting coal from mines in the rugged mountains of Mach Bolan when picked by armed militants.

Senior administration officials also reached the spot and monitored the ongoing search operation for the recovery of the kidnapped coal miners. Militants in the area have targeted coal miners in the past. Two years back, armed militants kidnapped 11 Hazara coal miners and brutally murdered them in the Mach area of the Bolan district.
