Women plays an important role in education and health by using their best abilities and capabilities, Inspector General (IG) of Police Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Sheikh stated. Our social, family values and traditions are the pioneers of creating such a civilized society where women get rights, freedom, importance and respect, he added.
He expressed these views while addressing the function of Balochistan Women Police Conference organized by Balochistan Police, Parliamentarian’s Commission for Human Rights and USAP in Central Police Office.
Member of National Assembly (MNA) Manora Baloch, Additional IG Police Jawad Ahmad Dogar, AIGIT Arsla Saleem, Ayesha Wadood Head of Provincial Office UN Women, Professor Farkhanda Aurangzeb Member National Commission for Human Rights Balochistan, Fauzia Shaeen Balochistan Commission on the Status of Human, Chairperson Person (PCSW), Jasbir Singh Minority Representative, Ruqia Taj Deputy Director Social Welfare and other personalities were also present on this occasion.
The IG Police said that measures have been taken for uniform implementation of the law and for the women of Balochistan, the results of which have started coming. Women have a very important place in our society and the role of women in the country’s development cannot be denied. However, it is our individual and collective responsibility to provide a favorable environment for women to carry out their affairs in the society without fear.
“Women’s safety and immediate solution to their problems is among the top priorities of Balochistan Police”, IG Balochistan mentioned.
It is our primary duty to give women their rightful place in society at all levels. Staff consisting of lady police personnel has been appointed in police stations across the province under which women can contact the female staff without hesitation to solve their problems.
MNA Manora Baloch said that IG Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Sheikh took many steps regarding the protection and rights of women due to which women police officers are posted across Balochistan.
