Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan chairing a review meeting regarding Ziarat Valley Development Package

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Monday underlined the need for promotion of tourism sector in the province to attract tourists. Chairing a review meeting of Ziarat Valley Development Package, he said that Balochistan’s tourists’ points should be introduced on an international level to attract foreign tourists.

Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Abdul Rehman Buzdar, and other high ups also participated in the review meeting. Under the Ziarat Valley Development Package, the Federal Government had allocated Rs. 1 billion and the provincial government had allocated 250 million rupees.

The Chief Minister was thoroughly briefed about the proposed projects for the beautification of Ziarat valley and projects attracting the tourists. Mr.  Jam Kamal on the occasion directed the officials to expedite efforts for making Ziarat as a smart city and make all-out efforts to facilitate the tourists visiting the valley.

It was decided in the meeting that the federal government would be requested to enhance the package amount from Rs. 1 billion to 2 billion to turn Ziarat into a smart tourist point.
