897 doctors to be appointed on contract basis in Balochistan

The Balochistan government has decided to recruit 897 doctors on a contract basis to improve health services in remote parts of the province.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo approved the summary sent by the health department for the appointment of doctors on a contract basis, an official handout issued here on Wednesday said.

The vacancies of the doctors include medical officers, lady medical officers, dental surgeons, specialists, professors, and assistant professors. All the newly appointed doctors would be posted in rural Balochistan, the handout mentioned.

The new doctors on the contract would not be posted in any big government hospitals rather they would be posted in remote areas of Balochistan. A committee headed by the Secretary of Health Balochistan would conduct tests and interviews of the doctors. However, senior doctors would also be part of the recruitment committee, the handout concluded.
