Chairman Pakistan Flour Mills Association Balochistan Region, Syed Nasir Agha on Monday accused officials of the Customs for their alleged involvement in the sugar smuggling to neighboring Afghanistan.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Agha said customs officials were involved in the flour and sugar smuggling to Afghanistan. “This all happens under their nose”, Mr. Agha said.

Borders causing problems for the people of Balochistan

The connection of the borders of Baluchistan with the neighboring countries is causing problems for the people because the people of Balochistan have been blackmailed for this reason.

Therefore, the export of sugar should be allowed, which will be allowed by the government, and then the export of sugar started through Balochistan.

In relation to the recent shortage of sugar and the increase in prices, the government should have cracked down on sugar mills, but the owners of sugar mills are the ruling class themselves or their politics is thanks to the sugar business, so they attacked the border districts of Balochistan with sugar.

Sugar and fertilizers smuggling underway

He said that the federal government gave instructions and orders to keep a strict watch on the transportation of fertilizer and sugar in the border districts, but here wheat and flour are being sold under the guise of sugar and fertilizer.

The series of blocking the way of transportation has been started. Wheat and flour vehicles are also being stopped at Lakpass by the customs department, due to which the supply of flour and wheat to different districts of Balochistan has been badly affected. The government has banned the transportation of wheat for purchase.
