The novel coronavirus cases have increased across the country as the government eased the lockdown to facilitate the masses. The cases appear to be on a constant rise and near 53,000 in the country on Saturday as per the statistics shared by provincial health departments and the federal government.
The virus has caused 11,00 deaths in Pakistan so far. However, over 16,000 patients have recovered from the deadly virus in the country. Most of the people have recovered from the virus at their homes during isolation.
The national database for coronavirus shows that 1,452 more people have recovered from the virus in the country. The total number of recoveries now stands at 16,653.
Most of the cases have bee confirmed by Sindh province i.e 21,645, Punjab 18,455, Balochistan 3,198, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa 7,391, Islamabad 1,457, GB 607 AJK 171.
The breakdown of deaths across the country is as follows:
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 381
- Sindh: 354
- Punjab: 310
- Balochistan: 39
- Islamabad: 12
- Gilgit Baltistsan: 4
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 1
