Miscreants hurled a hand grenade at a girls’ school in the Killi Qambrani Road area of Quetta on Saturday morning. Fortunately, the hand grenade did not explode, police sources said. Students and teachers spotted the hand grenade and police were quick at the scene.

The bomb disposal squad rushed towards the area and defused the hand grenade. Senior police officials also reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. Panic prevailed among the students and teachers after the failed grenade attack.

The attackers sped away on their motorcycle after throwing the hand grenade.
