QUETTA: The Caretaker Balochistan government has asked the former provincial ministers, advisers, parliamentary secretaries and coordinators to return official vehicles and staff. This decision was made at a meeting chaired by the caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Ali Mardan Domki on Tuesday.

All caretaker provincial ministers, chief secretary Balochistan, inspector general of police Balochistan and all administrative secretaries participated in the meeting. The cabinet meeting thoroughly reviewed the law and order situation and the pace of development activities in Balochistan.

Administrative secretaries directed to recover vehicles

The Caretaker Chief Minister directed the administrative secretaries to contact all former provincial ministers, advisers, parliamentary secretaries and coordinators to return all official vehicles and staff.

He stated it is also our responsibility to provide support to the Election Commission for conducting clean and transparent elections. “I am happy that experienced people like you are part of my team in the cabinet”, the Caretaker Chief Minister told cabinet members.

“We all have to perform our duties keeping our mandate in front”, Caretaker Chief Minister mentioned. Our mandate includes conducting fair and transparent elections as well as improving governance, he added.

Ali Mardan Domki said ministers should improve the governance and efficiency of their respective departments. “Ministers should send reports to them regularly while monitoring the performance of their departments”, he said. “Our joint ventures will improve the execution of government affairs”, he added. He asked the ministers not to make any demands from their departments which will create a negative impression.

 

The caretaker ministers should immediately take back the vehicles and staff of their respective departments used by the former ministers. The unnecessary expenses of the departments should be eliminated, he said.

All the ministers should not only work regularly in their offices but also make the officers and officials of the department adhere to the office hours, the caretaker CM concluded.
