TURBAT: Famous Baloch poet Mubarak Qazi breathed his last. He was a guest at Babu Alam in Turbat where he died late at night. The body of Mubarak Qazi was transferred from Turbat to Hani. The death of Mubarak Qazi was confirmed by the young Balochi poet Asghar Muharram.
It was said that he passed away last night at the house of Babu Alam in Sangani Sar. Qazi Mubarak had predicted his death in a literary letter written to Qutb-ul-Ghiz Mir Sagar in the same week, mentioning his disability.
Qazi Mubarak wrote that he is now very weak, but sometimes he cannot even get out of bed and does not feel like eating or drinking. Qazi Mubarak’s poetry influenced Balochi literature for half a century, he will be remembered for his service to Balochi literature and language as well as his poetic commentary on the Baloch movement.
Balochistan Caretaker Information Minister, Jan Achakzai expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Qazi Mubarak. He prayed that Allah rest the departed soul in peace and give patience to his family members.
