QUETTA: Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan, Ali Mardan Domki’s unannounced visit to the Children’s Hospital Quetta (CHQ) boosted the morale of the doctors, paramedics, nurses and other staff members. The CM inspected various sections of the hospital interacted with staff members and inquired about the health condition of patients.

Secretary Health Balochistan, Asfandyar Khan and the Chief Executive of the hospital, Dr. Habibullah Babar briefed the CM about the ongoing health services in the hospital.

Chief Executive Officer Habibullah Babar informed Chief Minister Balochistan about the institute and said that a new CT scan machine has been purchased for the hospital while the entire hospital has been solarized which will reduce the bills of power outages and load shedding.

The expenses will be spent on improving the medical services of the hospital, while the new block at a cost of one and a half billion rupees is in the final stages of completion and will be completed by October 10.

Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki directed that the CT scan machine should be immediately installed in the hospital so that the CT scan of sick children can be done at the local level and in this regard the patients do not have to go out at huge expense.

Expressing satisfaction with the solarization of the system and the speed of work of the new block under construction, he directed the hospital administration to expand the scope of medical services to make this institution an ideal pediatric center in Balochistan and at the official level. The public should be provided with such standard medical facilities for treatment that they do not need to go outside Quetta, Mr. Domki mentioned.
