QUETTA: Balochistan Caretaker Information Minister, Jan Achakzai on Wednesday said Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir has termed corruption as a greater threat than terrorism. “Corruption is embedded in our DNA”, Jan Achakzai told a news conference at the Quetta Press Club while quoting the words of the COAS, General Syed Asim Munir.

Caretaker Balochistan Home Minister, Captain (R) Zubair Jamali, and the Provincial Minister of Agriculture, Sardar Asif Dumar were also present on the occasion.

Govt committed to eradicating the curse of corruption

In yesterday’s meeting of the apex committee, the commitment of the caretaker government and above all the army chief to end corruption has been revealed, Mr. Achakzai said while quoting details of the meeting.

“The corrupt elements will not find a place to hide”, the Balochistan Caretaker Information Minister stated.

Balochistan to be an exemplary province

The entire government is standing like a leaden wall with this commitment of the Army Chief Balochistan will be made an exemplary province free from corruption, he mentioned.

The Information Minister stated that Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir said that corruption has entered our DNA and it is more dangerous than terrorism.

44000 training centers be revamped

A coordinated program is being set up to meet the demand of professionals in the market, he said referring to the formation of technical training centers across the country. “There are 44000 training centers, which are not functioning as per the growing demand of labor market in the country”, he revealed.

A Serving General of Pak Army Leading The Initiative

All centers would be revamped and the trained force would be internationally certified so that they can take advantage of the skill demand in the Middle Eastern countries. A serving General of the Pakistan Army is leading this initiative, Mr. Achakzai informed.

Prime Minister Kakar ordered an inquiry into the federal government’s funding of the last 10 years

Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, the caretaker government has decided to conduct a massive inquiry into past corruption cases and looting and create a blueprint for the next government.

Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has presented the problems of Balochistan and their solutions in an effective way, the Information Minister concluded.
