Federal Caretaker Information Minister Addressing a Press Conference

QUETTA: Caretaker Federal Information Minister Murtaza Solangi stated on Friday that Pakistan was on the agenda of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as reported by Bloomberg. Addressing a news conference at the Quetta Press Club (QPC), Mr. Solangi mentioned that the caretaker government had implemented several initiatives to improve the country’s declining economy.

The rupee appreciated against the dollar, and the Karachi Stock Exchange broke all records by reaching 66,000 points the other day. “This reflects our commitment and reforms in the economic sector,” the minister emphasized.

No excuse to delay the elections: Murtaza Solangi

Balochistan Caretaker Information Minister Jan Achakzai and President QPC Khaliq Rind were also present on the occasion.

The federal caretaker information minister reiterated that the country was all set to hold general elections on February 8, 2024. “No excuse, we are ready to hold fair and transparent elections as per the constitution of Pakistan,” Murtaza Solangi stated.

He said the caretaker government would provide all financial and administrative support to the Election Commission of Pakistan to conduct fair and transparent elections in the country. “We would hand over a comparatively better government to the next administration after the polls,” he maintained.

The Government Committed to Address the issues faced by the QPC and journalists: Murtaza Solangi

The caretaker information minister stated that he visited PTV Bolan, and on December 17th, a Hazaragi language program would also be launched. This was a long-standing demand of the Hazara community in Quetta.

Murtaza Solangi emphasized that the present government was committed to addressing the issues faced by the QPC and journalists working in the province. “I am a journalist, and I can understand the difficulties faced by the journalist community,” he stated.
