NOSHKI: In a shocking turn of events, gunmen forcibly abducted nine passengers and subsequently killed them after verifying their national identity cards in Balochistan’s Noshki district on Saturday. The heart-wrenching incident transpired at Sultan Charhai in Noshki district, as confirmed by Habibullah Musakhail, the deputy commissioner of Noshki.

According to reports, armed assailants intercepted a passenger bus in Noshki, seizing nine passengers before absconding with them. Promptly responding to the distress call, levies and the Frontier Corps initiated a coordinated operation to locate and rescue the kidnapped individuals. Eyewitnesses recount that the group of assailants numbered between 10 to 12, as stated by Mr. Musakhail.

Tragically, despite the efforts of law enforcement, the kidnapped passengers were discovered deceased, as revealed by the deputy commissioner. It was disclosed that the perpetrators meticulously scrutinized the identity cards of the bus passengers, selecting and abducting nine individuals based on their identities.

The victims hailed from various districts of Punjab province, including Gujranwala, Wazirabad, and Mandi Bahauddin. Notably, residents of these districts often traverse lesser-known routes along the Pak-Iran border in pursuit of opportunities for a better life in Europe.

Following the discovery of the deceased, their bodies were transferred to the Civil Hospital Quetta. A significant presence of officials was observed at the hospital, overseeing the reception and handling of the victims’ remains.

Subsequently, the funeral prayers for the deceased were solemnly offered at the Quetta Police Line, marking a somber moment of remembrance for the lives lost in this senseless act of violence.
