Consul General of Iran, Hassan Darvishvand, reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to collaborate with Pakistan across various sectors, including industry, trade, and health. Speaking during his visit to the Arya Institute of Medical Sciences in Quetta, Darvishvand emphasized the importance of such initiatives, describing the Institute as a significant asset for the local population.
Darvishvand expressed his desire to see more development projects in Balochistan and advocated for the exchange of medical delegations between the two Islamic brotherly countries to foster mutual growth and expertise. He highlighted the potential for collaborative efforts to enhance healthcare services and infrastructure in the region.
The visit to the Arya Institute included the Federal Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ali Shahzad, and other officials. Dr. Sohail Khan, Chief Executive Officer of the Arya Institute of Medical Sciences, provided an overview of the hospital’s capabilities. He highlighted that the Institute is the only private hospital in the province offering a range of advanced medical services, including open-heart surgery, angioplasty, stroke treatment, and respiratory disease management. The hospital is also equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories providing 24-hour diagnostic services, including tests, X-rays, and ultrasounds.
Dr. Khan emphasized that the primary goal of the hospital is to deliver high-quality medical care to the people of Balochistan at their doorstep. He noted that the reputation of any country or province is significantly enhanced by the provision of quality education and excellent healthcare facilities, both of which are prioritized by the Arya Institute.
Ali Shahzad lauded the establishment of the Arya Institute and Medical Sciences as a positive development for Balochistan, affirming that access to health and education is a fundamental right of every citizen. He echoed the sentiments of Darvishvand and Dr Khan, highlighting the importance of such institutions in improving the quality of life and fostering a positive image of the region.
