Quetta, September 30, 2024 –Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, during his two-day visit to Quetta, proposed the establishment of a constitutional court to ensure equal representation for all provinces. He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the vision of the late Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, who first suggested the idea.
Speaking to party lawmakers and workers, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated, “We are working on creating a consensus document that will fulfill the promise made by Benazir Bhutto regarding judicial reforms. The goal is to establish a court where all provinces, including Balochistan, are equally represented.”
The PPP Chairman further highlighted the achievements of the party, citing the 18th Amendment and the NFC Award as critical contributions. He reaffirmed the party’s stance on supporting democratic institutions, adding that despite current political turmoil in Islamabad, there will be no impact on Balochistan.
Flood Relief Efforts
Earlier in the day, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari distributed cheques to flood-affected families in a ceremony at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, welcomed the gesture and expressed gratitude. “Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s support for the flood victims reflects true solidarity. We are grateful for his efforts,” Bugti remarked.
In his speech, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari underscored the importance of unity and rebuilding efforts in the province, assuring the people of Balochistan of the PPP’s unwavering commitment to their welfare.
