QUETTA: Newly appointed German Consul General in Karachi, Dr. Ruediger Lotz, met with Governor Balochistan, Jafar Khan Mandukhel, to explore investment opportunities and discuss matters of mutual interest.

The meeting focused on Balochistan’s rich resources, including its valuable minerals, and potential areas for economic collaboration between Germany and Pakistan.

Governor Mandukhel highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Germany, emphasizing the need to strengthen bilateral ties in line with modern demands. He expressed confidence that enhanced cooperation between the two countries would positively impact peace and development across the region.

Governor Mandukhel specifically underscored the importance of Germany’s collaboration in education, health, technology, and capacity building. He mentioned that Germany’s support, particularly in providing scholarships for Balochistan’s youth, could significantly boost the province’s economic prospects. He also hoped for continued German assistance in Pakistan’s development initiatives, especially in the finance and technology sectors.

The Governor further emphasized the importance of equipping the younger generation with modern technical and vocational skills to meet the evolving economic landscape in the region. He expressed optimism that such initiatives would yield positive results and attract more foreign investment in Balochistan’s emerging industries.
