QUETTA: The staff association of the Balochistan University of Technology and Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) has strongly criticized the administration for failing to address their basic demands, including the payment of arrears for the Ad-hoc Relief 2024, research incentives, MD Cat, Election Commission duties, and WAPDA test compensations.

In a statement issued here, the association accused the administration of prioritizing personal luxuries over employee welfare. They highlighted that senior officials, including the Vice Chancellor, frequently embark on trips to countries like China, Greece, and Dubai while neglecting pressing employee concerns.

“The health policy remains unresolved even after two years, and fabricated claims are being used to mislead employees,” the statement said. It further criticized the Pro Vice Chancellor for incurring over six lakh rupees in apartment and food dues, demanding immediate reimbursement to the institution.

The association warned the administration of escalating their protests and issuing a white paper to expose financial mismanagement if their demands are not met promptly. They emphasized that institutional funds should not be misused for personal benefits and pledged to hold accountable those complicit in such activities.

BUITEMS staff urged the Vice Chancellor to take swift action to address these grievances, ensure the timely payment of pending dues, and enforce fiscal responsibility within the institution.
