QUETTA — Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, held a detailed interactive session with male and female students from across the province who were selected on pure merit for higher education scholarships at top universities across Pakistan.
The meeting, attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan and Secretary Higher Education Saleh Baloch, provided a platform for students to discuss governance, regional development, and educational opportunities directly with the province’s executive leadership.
Empowering Students from Modest Backgrounds
Speaking to the young scholars, Chief Minister Bugti emphasized that a majority of the selected candidates belong to underprivileged and middle-class families. He described their admission into premier national institutions as a transformative milestone for their families and the region.

The Chief Minister also expressed deep gratitude to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for supporting Balochistan’s students through fully funded university seats, tuition cover, and hostel fee support in Punjab’s educational institutions.

Addressing the socio-political challenges surrounding youth engagement in the region, Bugti urged students to stay focused on discipline, research, and skill development while remaining vigilant against divisive narratives.
