"Mahmood Khan Achakzai addresses gathering on the 57th anniversary of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai."

News Desk:

Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Chairman of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, has urged the government to ensure the safety of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Achakzai warned that a dead Imran Khan will pose a greater challenge for the nation, than a living one. Addressing a large public gathering in Quetta on the 57th death anniversary of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai, he emphasized the need for Khan’s immediate release and the restoration of his party’s mandate, which he claimed was unfairly taken in the February 8 elections.

“Imran Khan is Pakistan’s most popular leader, and attempts to suppress his party through violence and imprisonment will only deepen the crisis,” Achakzai stated. He called for resolving political disputes through dialogue, adherence to the Constitution, and respect for democratic principles.

Discussing regional issues, Achakzai stressed the importance of a stable Afghanistan, cautioning that unrest there could spill over into Pakistan. He also advocated for economic and cultural collaboration across South and Central Asia to ensure sustainable development.

On domestic matters, Achakzai criticized the controversial allocation of 125,000 acres in Pishin to a non-local individual, describing it as a source of tension in Pashtun areas. He demanded justice for families affected by mining accidents in Duki, Harnai, and Sanjawi, and compensation for truck owners who lost their vehicles during coal transport.

Achakzai concluded by asserting that if the state fails to provide justice and security, communities have the right to take necessary steps to safeguard their lives and property. He also urged the international community to prioritize collaboration over conflict for global peace and stability.
